Hitachi Sunway is delighted to welcome our first humanoid robot, NAO visit to our headquarters on 14th September 2017. Weighing less than 5kg and height of 58cm, NAO was developed by Softbank Robotics. Our team had the privilege of interacting with NAO in an up-close and personal manner. Through a series of demonstrations, we learned that NAO is fully equipped with sensors, motors and software which allows it to MOVE | FEEL | HEAR | SPEAK | SEE | CONNECT | THINK, piloted by a purpose specific operating system NAOqi OS.
NAO is designed to be personalized and teachable by adding content, such as language and motion, enriching his personality and even developing new skills. Once taught, NAO can be used in a wide variety of ways and across different industries including hospitality, healthcare, education and more. Robots are no longer confined to entertaining us through sci-fi movies but are now revolutionizing our world with endless possibilities.
