Hitachi Sunway Information Systems ("Hitachi Sunway") is delighted to announce the appointment of IT industry veteran, Jocelyne Leonard Mak (Joey) as Chief Operating Officer (COO), effective October 12, 2017. As COO, Joey will be responsisble for all of the Company's operating units in the region. He will report directly to Group CEO / Director, Cheah Kok Hoong.
Joey has over 25 years experience in numerous senior operational and management roles assisting large IT corporations with business development and strategy. He was with IBM for the last 21 years in various domain such as customer service delivery, business controls, project management, implementation of quality programs (Lean Methodology), sales, control and compliance and business transformation, business operations and sales.
“The COO role is a new position. As we continue to grow, it is absolutely vital to our success to reinforce on operational efficiencies of our diverse business operations. Joey’s wealth of experience will be instrumental to help us navigate the next phase of operational maturity and long-term sustained growth for Hitachi Sunway. Our customers will benefit immensely with Joey as COO. And, I am very pleased to have him join our executive team,” adds Cheah Kok Hoong.
Hitachi Sunway recently expanded its operations in IndoChina as part of its strategic growth plan to accommodate a rapidly growing demand for IT solutions and services in ASEAN.
