Chairman New Year's Message
January 1, 2021

As we wind down 2020, we do so with a sense of gratitude to all of you.  It has been one of the most volatile and challenging year.  The coronavirus pandemic and economic distress have tested all of us in many ways.  It has fundamentally challenged long established certainties about what we think is safe and what we believe is healthy in all areas of our lives.
 
Although the year has been hugely challenging, where many economy sectors were particularly hard-hit – I am grateful that Hitachi Sunway is able to weather the challenge of lockdowns and social distancing to continue supporting our customers under difficult circumstances during this most unusual year.  A big thank you goes out to the team, as well as to all our valued partners and supportive customers whom we worked in tandem with throughout.
 
Here is a quick recap of some of our noteworthy milestones in 2020:-
  • Launched eXcel-as-a-Service brand including eXelCLOUD that has enabled Hitachi Sunway as a cloud service provider and eXcelSECURE covering Managed Security Services and our own Security Operations Centre (SOC).
  • Entered into a strategic partnership with Trans International Logistiks to bring together deep skills in business and technology strategy, project deployment, and organizational change management to help support organizations through successful business transformations.
  • Established MOU with various universities in Vietnam to setup Smart Laboratory i4.0.
  • Signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between BaaS Holdings and BaaS Asia to provide Blockchain-as-a-Service (BaaS) services offerings – eXcelDRIVE and eXcelKEY.
    Entered into a business collaboration agreement with Marubeni Software & Technology (Thailand) Co Ltd to further strengthen our operations in providing SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions and IT Infrastructure services.
  • Won numerous awards from Siemens (such as Top Sales Award, FY19 Best Performance Marketing Award, FY19 Runner-Up for Digital Industry Software Partner Top Marketing Award, FY19 Gold & Smart Expert Partner Award), Allied Telesis Top Contributor 2019 award, Forescout Most Valuable Player (Asia) and most recently, Best Practices – Infrastructure Management Services Merit Award at the GBS Asia Awards 2020 (Digital Edition) organized by OM – A PIKOM Initiative.
  • Successfully maintained the Siemens Smart Expert recognition for NX CAD/CAM as specialized partner of Siemens Digital Industries Software in Thailand.
Our Commitment in 2021
The COVID-19 pandemic has brought so many changes and challenges around us. But, with determination, and commitment from our team, I know we will continue to provide high levels of sustained and ongoing support for our customers.
 
We want to remain as our customers first choice for every IT initiatives they take, and we will put in the work needed to get there.  We will strengthen our team skills set and experiences in order to provide unmatched services and solutions for our customers in this extremely trying conditions.  In addition, we will continue to enhance and broaden our services offerings to help our customers adapt and preserved throughout the pandemic.
 
Health comes first amid the COVID-19 pandemic and so I wish to extend my best wishes to all our stakeholders.  Please take good care of yourselves and stay safe. I sincerely appreciate your ongoing support.
